A sheep farmer and father of two, Craig dedicated up to five hours a day to rehabilitation after suffering brain haemorrhage.

In May 2025, Craig's life changed in an instant when he suffered a brain haemorrhage while playing walking football. Since then, his determination, hard work and unwavering focus on recovery are inspiring everyone around him.

A sheep farmer and father of two, Craig dedicated up to five hours a day to rehabilitation, supported by NHS services, private therapists, and most importantly, his family. From relying on a wheelchair in the early stages of recovery, he has progressed to walking aids, regained his driving licence, returned to work on the family farm six mornings a week, and is working towards resuming full-time duties by September 2026.

Craig has also maintained his connection to the walking football community, returning as an off-pitch referee while continuing to build his strength and confidence. His journey is a powerful reminder that recovery is not just about physical progress – it's about perseverance, adaptability, and the support of those around us. Every milestone, from operating farm vehicles to carrying out everyday household tasks independently, reflects the incredible progress he has made.
